That the Checkered Church is the ONLY place in
New Hanover County where you can buy Hadley Pottery?
Whimsical, original, fanciful.  Hadley Pottery, with its simple, distinctive blue and green patterns has been handmade
 in Louisville for 61 years!  Originally designed in 1939 by Mary Alice Hadley for use on her own houseboat,
 pottery items are now produced by her company for hundreds of different uses.

Although Mary Alice died in 1965, nine decorators still reproduce her designs faithfully, signing each piece "M.A. Hadley."

The company never advertises and is not represented in gift marts.  They sell through only one shop in any given area.  Currently, Hadley Pottery is available in 350 outlets in the United States and one shop in Calgary, Alberta.
 We are very pleased to be the source here in eastern North Carolina for this quality line of handmade home accessories.
