Pleasure Island Afghan

Designed for and sold Exclusively by 
The Checkered Church

I contracted with Riddle & Cockrell 
to design an afghan to reflect the charm 
and local color of Pleasure Island. 

 
From the persistent pelicans and 
endangered sea turtles 
(for which our Island serves as a nesting ground) 
to the fishing fleet so much a part of our culture, 
to the fresh and salty and brackish water 
that surrounds us, 
it's all represented here 
in heavy, triple-weave cotton.  

To those of us who live on Pleasure Island, 
it is a celebration of all we love.  
For visitor's, it's an opportunity to transport 
a bit of the Island into your home.
